DEGREE VS IMPACT

IS HAVING A DEGREE OR A CERTIFICATE
AN IMPORTANT ASSET?

DEGREE VS DELIVERY

Education is very important. Yes of course why not, but having a degree is not equals to being able to make impact in the world outside school. Having a degree does not automatically mean freedom from financial instability and fulfillment, intentional empowerment of one's self is very paramount.

Have you ever heard some people say that if they could go back to school and get their degree or certificate they would have been successful in life? I have heard several people say such things as that.

"Why do people believe in waiting to get a piece of paper called certificate before thinking of making something out of their lives?" is the question that comes to mind. Certificate does not equal making impact. A piece of paper should not decide your future, decide the impact of the piece of paper to your future. Of course, a degree is useful, but can't decide your destination. Having a degree is not synonymous to success.

The point is; successful people are not just literate and certificate holders, but people that were determined to make their life count, by adding value to themselves, being creative, generate ideas, relating with people that will add to them, spend money on useful things and make the most out of their time.

If degrees and certificates will make one's life count on the  surface of the earth, then there should be countless impact makers and influential people. This is why the unemployment level is on the rise even for graduates, everyone is just waiting around to be ‘employed’, and no one is willing to create employment. Challenge yourself. Stop limiting yourself, take the leap, you’ll never know what you could have been if you don’t at least try. Success is measured by how much positive impact you have on people; how much lives you've touched when your story is over. It's cliche and an illusion to say success is measured by one's exotic cars, houses, degrees and huge bank account. As good as this things are they aren't the blueprint of success. How many lives have you touched?

There is a quote from Sean Patrick Flanery that is very inspiring: “Do something today that your future self will thank you for.”
